Sense of sight, field of vision, fixation, retina

Clinical Presentation: Paralyzed tongue, dysarthria, tongue deviation, swallowing, articulation
IV. Trochlear
Motor - eye muscles, superior oblique
Clinical Presentation: weakness or paralysis of superior oblique eye muscle; diplopia (double vision), difficulty looking down
VIII. Vestibulochlear
Sense of balance and hearing - inner ear, taste sensation (anterior 2/3 of tongue)
Clinical Presentation: hearing loss, vertigo, dizziness
X. Vagus (Mixed)
Sensory - internal organs, external ear canal,
eardrum, back of throat , swallowing, cardiovascular, digestive
Clinical Presentation: Dysphagia, VF paralysis, soft palate paralysis

Motor: throat and larynx, heart, lungs, abdominal organs
VI. Abducens
Motor - visual fixation, abduction of eyes

XI. Accessory
Motor - neck, back muscles
Clinical Presentation: Weakness / Back of head weakness, shoulder paralysis
V. Trigeminal (Mixed)
Opthalmic Branch: touch, pain, scalp / upper eyelid, eyeball
Maxillary Branch: temples, cheeks lower eyelid, soft and hard palate
Mandibular Branch: (Largest) Lower gums, mouth, lateral scalp EAM, TM surface
Clinical Presentation: loss of sensation, loss of sneezing reflex, facial paralysis, deviation of tongue, jaw

Clinical Presentaton: paralysis, palsy of facial muscles; excessive gland secretions; loss of taste from anterior 2/3 of tongue; motor speech impairments

Motor - eye and eyelid muscles, maintain visual fixation

Clinical Presentation: anosmia, hyperosmia, hyposmia
