GAMIFICATION is getting more relevant nowadays due to the influence of games in nowadays society and the educative systems, with the incorporation of the information and Communication Technologies within our current information and knowledge Society. Gamification is the use of game logic and mechanics in non-game context to engage and motivate learner in solving the problem. The techniques are: badges, levels, leaderboards, rewards, avatars, challenges. Some benefits are: motivating students, helping students to reason and develop their autonomy, allowing active learning, providing students the control of their learning process, providing useful information to the teacher, promoting creativity and imagination, fostering social skills and contributing to the digital literacy.
