- - - - PLC meetings and continued professional development sessions are also happening for Teacher Assistants throughout FNSA schools to help build capacity for remote rural schools around the province.
      - Teachers are also involved in PLC's that have monthly meetings and 2 face to face meetings a year to collaborate with other colleagues around the province teaching the same grade
      - PLC groups are formed for LAT's to participate in with monthly class and 2 yearly face to face meetings with all the LAT working in FNSA schools in the province.

        An important participant in the student's education and valued assist in understanding what works for the student and what can be potential triggers. Communication between the parent and school involves both positive and constructive conversations and meetings. Parents meet with the school 3 times a year for formal IEP creation and review

        Student-focused - what are the needs of the student and how do we meet them where they are at? What is best for the student?
        They are sometimes involved in their IEP/SMART goal planning process
        Students often receive pull-out services or TA's are attached to them like velcro (Villa & Thousand, 2003)
        Moving forward students need to be more involved in the planning process
      - Teacher Assistant(TA)
        Works in collaboration with teacher and LAT to provide programming for student/s to which they are assigned
        Participates in professional development sporatically and are connected to the greater TA PLC provided by FNESC
        Run reading groups from the scripted ReadWell program
        Assist in daily tasks, supervision/duty, traditional TA tasks and take on instructional roles in language arts
        Our TA's are our solution for inclusion and a used as a crutch so teachers can continue to provide interventions for one instead of taking on a UDL approach
