DIPLOPIA OR DOUBLE VISION
SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS
Misalignment of one or both eyes (a "wandering eye" or "cross-eyed" appearance)
•Pain when you move your eye
•Pain around your eyes, like the temples or eyebrows
• Headache
• Nausea
•Weakness in your eyes or anywhere else
•Droopy eyelids

PATHOPHYSIOLOGY
Double vision is the perception of two images of a single object seen adjacent to each other (horizontally, vertically, or obliquely) or overlapping. Diplopia is the medical term for double vision.
NURSING CARE PLAN
Alleviate anxiety
Give prescribed analgesics
Give health education on disirder
Encourage and support patient on the condition
Physically and psychologically prepare patient prior surgery
