Political Perspective
Introduction
City centre politics refer to processes of decision making on how to plan, finance and manage these areas. These processes are made by city government and a range of other actors and institutions and vary from one city to another. These decisions lead to policies that are closely linked with how city centres actively shape their built environment, social character and economic futures and are indications of their capacity to face challenges. With this in mind, city centres like any other space are seen as a produce of relations and a domain of experience for various social groups in which orders of space is resulted by structures of power.
