TRACHOMA
a contagious bacterial infection of the eye, causing inflamed granulation on the inner surface of the lids.

Antibiotics therapy ,both topical and systematic
surgical intervention
Hygiene is important
CAUSES
caused by certain subtypes of Chlamydia trachomatis
a bacterium that can also cause the sexually transmitted infection chlamydia
poverty and lack of proper hygiene
SYMPTOMS
Mild itching and irritation of the eyes and eyelids.
Discharge from the eyes containing mucus or pus.
Eyelid swelling.
Light sensitivity (photophobia) Eye pain.
