Ateology
Sinusitis.
Bacteria such as streptococci.
Complication of the eye surgery.
Pathophysiology
It a rare complication of bacterial rhinosinusitis.
Rhinosinusitis is the source of infection.
This condition is associated with sinus infection.
It can cause by direct extension of infection from the globe.
Clinical manifestation
Red eye.
Swollen eyelid.
Fever.
Fatigue.
Loss of appetite.
Impaired vision.
Pharmacological management
Medicalmanagement
Oral antibiotic.
IV antibiotic.
Surgical management
Fluid is drained from abscess.
Removal of foreign object.
Obtaining culture sample for further analysis.

Patophysiology

Brain barrier normally prevent cells .
Brain barrier normally prevent large protein entering eye.
Infection result from hematogenous spread infection to the vascular uvea.
Inflammation causes the barrier to break down.
Clinical manifestation
Redness.
Pain.
Light sensitivity.
Blurred vision.
Swelling.

Medical management
Antibiotics.
Ointments.
Eye drops.
Surgical management
Implantation of intra-ocular lens.
Extra capsular cataract .
Vitrectomy.
Removal of cataract.

Teach patient how to use ointment.

Defination
Is a group of eye condition that can cause blindness.
Pathophysiology
Intraocular pressure is related to retinal ganglion cell death.
Intraocular pressure can cause mechanical stress.
The optic nerve fibers that changed by similar ultrastructural are seen to human with glaucoma.
The sclera is perforated at lamina where the optic nerve fibers exist eyes.

Severe eye infection.

Clinical manifestation
Blurred vision.
Distorted vision.

Conjuctivities
Defination
Is the inflammation of the outer membrane of the eyeball.
Ateology
Bacterial infection.
Allergies.
Dryness.
Air irritants.
Pathophysiology
This can cause by virus or bacterial infection.
Variety viral organism can give rise to conjuctivities.
Ocular allergies response in cascade of event that is coordinated by mast cells.
When allergens are present then sensitization take place.
Irritant conjunctivitis is a form of conjunctivitis that often bought by external source.
Clinical manifestation
Redness of eyelid.
Puffy eyes.
Swollen lining of eye.
Watery eye.
Sensitivity to light.
Irritation.
Pharmacological management
Medical management
Antibiotics.
Eye drops.
Ointments.
Pills.
Surgery management
Removal of abnormal fibrous tissue.
Health education
Teach patient to not touch eye with hand.
Encourage patient to avoid sharing cloths.
Teach patient how to install eyedrops.
Advise patient to use dark black eye glass.
Avoid rubbing eyes.

Remove any sharp object surrounding patient.
Always patient must be in a safe of comfortable position.
