        Plastics also impacts the natural environment and has grave consequences for humans, wildlife, and plants since they contain numerous toxic compounds. These are the main causes of plastic pollution, not even all of them.

        Plastic bags- paper or fabric bags
- - - - Plastics may take up to 1,000 years to degrade and they break down into tiny particles that contaminate our soil and water.
        
        Plastics will degrade into small pieces until you can't see them anymore (so small you'd need a microscope or better!). ... Most commonly used plastics do not mineralize (or go away) in the ocean and instead break down into smaller and smaller pieces, which is not good.
        
        So, most plastics go to landfill or end up in the ocean which is terrible!
