Is the auditorium small and intimate or large and impersonal how might you describe it and why do you think this suits the WIB? How does it make you feel?
How do you think the people in the stalls feel as opposed to the audience members in the dress circle?
Why does the children’s nursery make us feel so uneasy? Why do we associate horror to children’s toys?
Why are there darker areas of the stage? How does that make you feel?
Why was it important that we felt as though we were in a theatre?

Why was it so important that we suspend our disbelief? Why is this so important to this play in particular?
What was the function of Spider? Did you believe that the dog was there? Were you scared/upset when Spider is struggling in the marsh? If so, how did the actor’s create such an illusion that you would emotionally invest in an imaginary character?
Why is it better to hear the recorded sound of the nightmare? Why is it scary? Why is it important that it is repeated throughout? Why is it important that the volume is so loud?
How did you feel the first time you saw the WIB during the funeral scene? What was your first impression? Were you scared? Why?
