"a framework that determines individual's language of coping"Characteristics:
- developed via a combination of nature and nurture
- fixated at adolescence or early adulthood
- consists of basic ph of various combinations
- used within the context of immediate intervention
"With the knowledge of individual's basic ph, it helps psychological first aiders to tune in into the person's world and facilitate coping using his dominant coping style to recover in a crisis"
- understand the person's dominant phbasic ph
- use the same basic ph language to tune in to common wavelength and get him to listen
- suggest ways of coping which is congruent with the dominant basic ph
