Maybe the killing of Myrtle can be apart of the tragic hero example because Daisy and Gatsby were not meant to be

Gatsby's obsession for Daisy leads to his death. Gatsby worships Daisy and materialism to a point that leads to his downfall. The fact that he takes the blame for Myrtle's death, reveals his own obsession with the past. It shows that he will never be able to recreate it.

Wilson: wants to be a successful man, is very determined, but is under minded by his dream when he is cheated on
