MANAGEMENT

Decongestants in form of nasal spray and drop and antihistamines can be prescribed to reduce nasal oedema

apply local heat on the nose to reduce oedema, pain and help liquefy secretions
Steam inhalations are recommended three or four times a day to loosen secretions and facilitate drainage

Bacteria incl: Streptococcus pneuoniae, Haemophilus influenza and Staphylococcus aureus
