Do not treat people as a means, to more.
Act as if your action would become universal law by all, you wouldn't want people to steal.
Issues: abstract, optimistic as man is acting without self interest.

Europeans tend to look at ethics from an more instutional level. Greater focus on public sector, EU.
They querstion the capitalist system itself questioning ethical legitimacy of capitalist economic though. Does the market work, assuming all within society are able bodied to privde for themselves.
Northern Europe has moved away from religous values and more towards pluralist and challenge ethics ona theoretical level. RELATIVISM.
