MRS GREN
Nutrition - The process by which a living organism assimilates food and uses it for growth and for replacement of tissues.
-
-
Reproduction - The sexual or asexual process by which organisms generate new individuals of the same kind.
-
Growth - To an increase in size either through an increase in the number of cells or through an increase in the size of each individual cell.
-
-
Specialised cells
Specialised cells are red blood cells, nerve cells, muscle cells, cardiac, skeletal, smooth muscle cells.
-
-
Female reproductive - to join with male cell, and then to provide foods for the new cell that's been formed.
Male reproductive - to reach the female cell, and join with it.
Plants

Functions
Photosynthesis, the making of food from light energy, carbon dioxide, and water, occurs in the chloroplasts of the cell. The energy molecule adenosine triphosphate (ATP) is produced through cellular respiration in the mitochondria.
Some plant cells function solely in the production of glucose, while others are needed to carry nutrients and water to various parts of the cell.
-
Stem cells
-
One example of a stem cell is bone marrow and it can be used to treat disease and donated. However, sometimes the immune system can attack the stem cells. This is called rejection.
