Reflection is central to any kind of learning process in order to make a learning process meaningful. Learning is a cycle to understand something in depth, to create new knowledge from the existing, being able to integrate gained knowledge into practical experience and then learning from the new experience (Kolb, 1984). This cycle is more effective with different models of reflection that have been introduced in different times addressing different factors involved in reflection (Moon, 1999).
How can one align assessment with intended learning outcomes, here Objective based Education(OBE) comes into play, still OBE is not a permanent solution hence Biggs (2012) quoting Biggs (1999) constructive alignment theory seems to be a solution to this problem where the teaching learning activities involving teachers as facilitators guiding the students to use self-directed learning, peer collaboration ,discussions and feedbacks are aligned with the curriculum objectives ahile assessment is done on individual level i.e. assessment is aimed to check the knowledge and understanding rather than comparing percentages and where assessment criteria is also explicit.
