Should boys be allowed to play on girls' teams?
Main Argument #2:
For the boy, it would be very uncomfortable constantly being surrounded by girls, not to mention the judgement he would get from his peers and other boys because he plays on a team for girls.
For the girls, it would be uncomfortable because maybe in the particular sport that they are playing, the boy would dominate over the girls, because he is stronger.
Another reason that I think that boys cannot play on girls teams is because it would be very awkward for the boy and the girls.
The girls would constantly have to catch up with him, which would be frustrating.
Main Argument #3:
The girls team should never just be a second option for a boy because did not make the boys team, but still wants to play the sport. If you don't make the team, that's it, there is no second chance or option.
The boys and girls teams are there for a reason. If there is a boys team, then boys can play on that team. It shouldn't be a topic of discussion. Girls will be on girls teams as well. They don't need to mix, because teams have already been provided for them.
The only reason that boys should be allowed to play on girls teams if there is no sports team for them at their school. That is unfair, so if they must, they can try to create their own team, or they can join the girls team after discussing it with the coach.
The third and final reason that I believe boys should not play on girls' teams is that, if there is a boys and girls team, then there is absolutely no reason to play on the girls team.
Main Argument #1:
Boys tend to have more upper body strength and core strength than girls, making them stronger.
However, girls tend to have more lower body strength and abdominal strength than boys, and they tend to be more agile and flexible.
I believe that boys should not be allowed to play on girls teams, because boys and girls have different body types and physiques.
So for certain sports, a boy would have an unfair advantage over the girls, simply because he is bigger and faster.
My Hook: Sports teams are about having fun, playing hard, building your skills, and developing relationships with people who understand you, which can be difficult when all of your teammates aren't like you.
My Thesis: Boys should not be allowed to play on girls teams because there are many setbacks, such as unequal body capabilities, discomfort between the two genders, and the weirdness of choosing the girls team over the guys team as a guy.
My Conclusion: So in conclusion, boys should not be able to play on girls teams because it would be more beneficial for them to stay on a team with their own gender, which doesn't confuse the teams and helps the boys and girls develop their skills with people the same as them.
General Info:
There are some boys teams with girls on them, but rarely the opposite
For some sports where there is mixed doubles, it is okay for boys and girls to play together, but not in all sports
Girls and boys have different body types, which is why we have separate teams
