Part-time working
Staff work between 1 and 30 hours a week or someone who works fewer hours per week than full-time staff- this can be fewer hours per day or fever days per week
Flexible working
Any working schedule outside traditional working pattern; employee can vary when they come to work (or sometimes where they work); it’s ability to choose start and finish times, but must complete a full day’s work. This requires agreement with employer to ensure office is mannered at all required times
Job sharing
A full time job is divided between 2 part-time workers eg one could work in mornings and other in afternoons. Both workers are doing the same job; one picks up the work where the other left off
Compressed hours
An employee works their full hours for the week but works for fewer days
