- - - - In the summer between grades five and six, my family finds out that great-uncle passed away. This death is incredibly significant in my family as my parents were very close with my uncle, he was like a second father to them, and he was also my godfather. My great-uncle's death is the first-ever major loss I experienced in my life, and helped me to learn how to deal with loss and to learn my coping mechanisms. In future sad events like this, I will now have an approach to grief and a way to handle it.
        
        2016- GOT MY FIRST PET
        
        When I turned twelve, my family and I got a dog named Frankie. He is the only dog my family has had while I've been alive. I'd wanted a dog since I was a very little kid, but my parents were very reluctant which I later found out was because I had been bitten by a Doberman as a baby. In order to get a dog, my parents assigned me specific tasks and chores to do for two years before we got Frankie in order to prove that I was responsible enough for a dog. I remained patient and we got a dog as promised. This experience taught me so much about responsibility and diligence when striving to reach a goal and I think is the reason I have developed a good work ethic.
        
        2017- CONFIRMED AS A CATHOLIC
        
        Growing up at a Catholic school, being confirmed in grade seven signified you commitment and initiation into the Catholic church. At age 13, I had my confirmation. The process leading up to the event, although very intense, helped me to strengthen my spirituality and learn more about my religion. This event introduced me to a higher form of Catholic belief and solidified my participation in the Church.
