What are some reasons that you aren't working on a personal project?
I don't have time!
I haven't made projects a priority
I'm involved with extracurriculars
They are important on my resume
They give me practical experience
I enjoy the team I'm working with
I want to make connections with people
Helps with career prospects/networking
Help set me up for success
It's motivating to work in an established team with a reputation
It's easier than starting something on my own
Doing well in school is important to me
It will help me get a good job
Top companies still consider grades?
I want to go to grad school

I'm good at it, I'm successful at it
My parents want me to do well in school
Getting a job/internship is my primary focus
I want to get paid
I want a comfortable life
I want experience
I want to set myself up for a successful career
I want a comfortable life
I value learning
I want to spend time with family/friends
People you care about are important <3
It's more fun hanging out with friends than working
It doesn't seem to be important to anyone else
I spend 8 hours a day working with x skill (programming, design), get burned out when I continue in my spare time
Don't have an idea I can stick with
I haven't been actively looking for ideas
I'm not sure if the idea I have is a good idea
Haven't validated it yet
Can't imagine the final product
Don't have a clear vision
Not sure what the potential of this idea is
There isn't anything that really excites me
I don't really develop the idea into something that is exciting
The idea isn't suited for my skillset
The idea doesn't have enough potential to become big
Someone else is working on the idea
I have ideas, but I get bored of them
Been working on it for too long and now the idea is stale
The idea isn't evolving
I haven't been getting feedback
I haven't asked for it
It's scary to share an idea you're working on
Haven't been making much progress
I have too many ideas!! Can't pick just one
Starting a project is more interesting than finishing a project
The last 20% is super boring
It's clean up; monotonous work
There's much more potential in the beginning
When you have an idea, it is an idealized version of what you can make
Not sure where/how to start
Don't have the right resources
Money
Don't know where to find it for free
Don't have a clear plan of how I can complete this project
Don't have the right skills
I'm not confident I can make anything worthwhile
I don't know what the outcome will be
I don't know if I can finish the project
Busy with other priorities
I might come up against challenges I can't solve
Lack of motivation
End product might not be as exciting as I imagined it would be
I don't have the right skills
Learning a new skill is hard
I don't want to learn a bunch of skills just to work on this
Don't have encouragement or support from others
I haven't shared the idea
People aren't interested in the idea
I don't know if this will be useful/used by anyone
Haven't validated the idea (talked to users)
Sharing ideas is scary/hard
I don't know who to talk to
I haven't found someone to work with!
I'm not sure who would be interested in this project
I don't know if they have the right skills
It's hard
It seems like a lot of work
Haven't broken down the process into steps
There is a lot I don't know how to do
I haven't learned the right skills
I don't know much about the problem I'm trying to solve
I don't know if I can stay motivated
I might not make much progress
I might face challenges I don't know how to overcome
I'm tired at the end of the day
I want to spend my free time to destress and recharge, not work more
I spend more time planning than creating
I want to know how I can make the final product
Don't want to invest a lot of time into working on something without a plan
I think this project is complicated, so I need to break it down into steps to understand how to start
