Why did hungary hate communism?

hungary hated communism because they had no freedom of speech

catholic church was banned by the USSR

feared the secret police

disliked the soviet army living in there country

German wanted to leave because the hungarian uprising showed for many people in eastern europe that it was impossible to fight communists

some germans left for political reasons and others for economic reasons

problems in poland

polish economy was in bad shape

wages were not rising with food prices
