It was known as Acadia, which included parts of present-day Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.

Acadians had great ties to their land. So they refused to leave when the British offered to take them.
The British got mad after they were helping the other side of the war and dropped them off in what today is Louisiana
As Europeans settled the east coast of North America during the 1600s and 1700s, they forced many First Nations away.
Now that the treaty had given the British control of the East Coast, the British wanted First Nations land that was in this area.
