Trainer Introduction

Participants Introduction

Expectation from the training

What are the current business challenges ? get response from participants

What is an enterprise

A Collection of organizations that shares a common set of goals

What is an architecture

Get the response from participants

The structure of components and their inter-relationships, and the principles and guidelines governing their design and evolution over time

Why do you need an EA - Slide 10

  1. Create an Integrated environment to optimize existing legacy processes and technologies, that is responsive to change and address the business strategy: eg:- Prime hospital example
  1. EA uses a strategic approach along with digital capability to address constantly changing business need

2) Governance Model
3) Certain principals that should be followed during an architecture initiative

Architecture Content Framework

Provides a detailed model of architectural work products including Deliverable's, Artifacts within deliverable's and ABB's that deliverable's represents

  1. it includes a detailed meta model

A deliverables is a work products that is contractually agreed and signed of by stakeholders

artifact is a architectural work products generally classified as catalogs, matrices and diagrams

Catalogs - List of things

Architecture Landscape

Architecture landscape togaf holds architecture views of the enterprise at any particular point of time. It is divided into three levels of granularity.

Strategic Architecture – Long term summary view of the entire enterprise.

Segment Architecture – detailed operational model for areas within an enterprise. It is used at a program or portfolio level.

Capability Architecture – Very detailed architectures of particular capability. Individual work packages and projects

Architecture Content Framework

Provides a detailed model of architectural work products which includes, deliverables, artifacts and ABB's that deliverables represents

  1. It enables greater consistency in togaf output
  2. it provides comprehensive check list for togaf output
  3. it includes detailed metamodels

a building block represents a potentially reusable component of enterprise capability

building block can relate to architecture or solutions
