The pro is that they taste really, really good. (Well, the butter and syrup taste really, really good).
The con is that they have a ton of refined carbs and they spike your blood sugar almost more than any other food -- the pancake itself, not even counting the syrup. In other words they have a very high glycemic index. That's important because, while it's not going to do much harm to a slender 14-yr-old except possibly cause you to begin gaining weight, if you eat like that over the years, you're likely to wear out your body's ability to manage blood sugar and insulin, and become obese, insulin resistant, and diabetic.
