-clearly identifying the difference between speaking casually with other members compared to other leaders or company professionals: social interactions are casual meanwhile the latter is formal

:
-the purpose is to connect civil engineering students at CPP, connect them to employment opportunities, and provide them a place to enhance their skills
-audience is the companies and professionals we are attempting to impress and hopefully work with in the future
Christian Cru Club Community
Writing Process:
-vocalizing our opinions or how we analyze the bible
-however we choose to socially interact with each other as long as it is not purposefully hateful language to others

:
-we pray often and close each prayer with "Amen."
-it's common that we write our Testimonies on sheets of paper
-we might have a notebook or journal to write our thoughts about bible verses or speak to God about our troubles

:
-show up to bible study and/or weekly Thursday meetings
-demonstrate interest and a loving attitude

-we are most often taught both English and Spanish in our households
-we are also taught to have manners such as eating the entire meal that was cooked homemade for us

-terminology used are certain words that might be considered Spanish as well as Spanish slang words
Discourse Community:
-being a minority in some way, preferably of Mexican or Latin descent
-able to understand and communicate with other Mexican Americans

-topics about recent encounters
-topics about our childhood, such as having piñatas at birthday parties, which aren't common with people outside of this discourse community

-purpose is to feel less isolated and express our similar experiences that no one else could relate to
-we might also relate to one another as minorities
