Role of representative
They have to make decisions and must have a rational for that decisions
must be able to communicate good
They have to hear the concerns of the people rather than there own concerns
help organize events and meetings
must try to find the best option for the whole group
Responsibility of Representative
must be able to communicate good
Must be honest and open
must try to attend all the things that they organize
Must have a lot of leadership, not bossiness
Must have a little bit of patience for other people
Purpose of Association
Why do they exist
To fulfill a group's aims.
To try to influence the government to make decisions that benefit them
Associations also hold fun events for their people.
How Associations Make Decisions
anybody can try to be elected as representative as long as they can be part of the association
citizen mail in there votes
there are regional meetings once a year to make decisions
once a year there is a provincial meeting with everybody to make bigger decisions
