Rotary motor mechanisms
Friction drives
Made up of two or more wheels that are in contact, when the first wheel called primary wheel moves, it turns or drives the second wheel or output wheel, causing it to move at well.
N1 and N2 are the velocities of the wheels. (RPM)
D1 and D2 are the corresponding diameters. (Usually mm)

Gear train
This is a system of more than two gears, connected together as shown in the diagram.
The rotary motion of the first wheel (1) drives the second wheel (2), and so on.
-
Pulley trains with belt
It's a system of pulleys, or wheels, with a belt
formed by more than two wheels.

Pulleys
Fixed pulley: a wheel that has a groove around it into which a rope, chain or belt fits.
-
Movable pulley: a set of two pulleys, one is fixed while the other can move in a linear direction.
-
Compound pulley: system of fixed and movable pulleys, often called block and tackle.
-
Moving objects and mechanisms that produce movement, we can also call them motion.
