Female Hormonal Cycle
Ovulatory Phase
This phase concludes with the release of an egg. It begins with a surge of Luteinizing hormone and their is an increase in Progesterone levels.
Luteal Phase
In this phase, Estrogen and Progesterone causes the lining of the uterus to thicken in order to prepare for a possible fertilization.
Follicular Phase
In this phase levels of Estrogen and Progesterone are low causing the shedding of the uterine lining. In addition, Follicle stimulating hormones are released producing estrogen; In the end one follicle (egg) continues to develop
