The Todors had commited to a strong, centralising monachy and were determind to impose their rule on Ireland. Elizabeth 1 finished off the conquest of Ireland in her reign taking over the parts of Irland that refused to submit and changed the Religion to Protostancte creating the Protostant Asendancy
James the First made and he was an avoued catholic. Irish thaught this could lead to the overhtrowing of Cronwells anti - Catholic policies but due to the strong Protosatante majority in both the Irish and British Government this Failed.
