Food Intake

Satiation:This causes us to stop eating – receptors in the stomach stretch and hormones such as cholecystokinin increase

Hunger: This motivates us to eat (controlled by the hypothalamus)

Satiety: This should remind us not to eat again until the body needs food

Appetite:This initiates eating through the sight, smell, thought or taste of food.
