revelations and late night thoughts
love is weakness vs love is strength
strength
better sense of right and wrong
upholding sense of hope for a better life/world
weakness
lowered level of alertness, more prone to miss incoming threat
weak spot; can be blackmailed by threatening to hurt a loved one
good vs evil
heroes vs villains
villain's impenetrable layer can always be broken through with memories -> vulnerability
same characteristics and factors, but on the opposite sides of the spectrum
love
heroes: gives strength to push through, gives hope
villains: often have a traumatic experience (e.g. losing a loved one) behind them that eventually is the achilles' heel for them, causes them to be defeated in the end
traumatic past, bad memories
heroes: may be painful but give them strength to push through anyways
villains
#
the motives of heroes and villains is often surprisingly similar, but many motives, like revenge on the other party, are
only acceptable from the hero
evil's not something one is born with, evil is made
event(s) from one's past define(s) their behavior

what is evil?
the opposite of what we deem "good"
what is good?
things that match our own values and beliefs and don't clash with them
who's to say what's good or evil?
everything is relative
look at things from other perspectives as well
to the "villain", the "hero" is the villain
everyone is the protagonist of their own story
who is evil? isn't it kind of rude to call someone evil just because their values oppose yours?
much like there is no dark, only absence of light, there's no hate, only absence of love
everything happens for a reason
no one's "evil" just to be evil
