Learning objects: a tool for educational innovation.
Based on this situation, the purposes of this article are:
Recognize the importance of developing learning objects from a prospective and comprehensive vision that is concretized in educational development strategies for the institutions of religion
Present an operational definition of the concept
Indicate some lines of action of the University Consortium for the development of Internet II (CUDI), for the promotion of learning objects in the country, a task to which the University of Guadalajara has been actively incorporated in various committees.
There are conditions by which the design for learning objects is taking up more strongly in recent years. Among them, it is interesting to highlight
The gradual change of the educational paradigm focused on teaching and oriented to learning
The need for diversification and flexibility of the educational offer with the consequent boost of open and distance modalities
The recognition of the need to make the curriculum more flexible in higher education institutions
The pressure for the internationalization of educational programs that force us to look at the criteria and quality standards generated by organizations around competencies of graduates
The emergence of Internet II as an alternative connection and flow of information between educational entities with possibilities of use whose limits are unimaginable, because their use is still limited.
Policies for the computerization of organizations and the requirement of computer literacy of workers almost any field
The greater acceptance of technology as a factor of educational innovation by teachers and undoubtedly by students
The pressure to continually update the contents by the accelerated technological advance.
The policies oriented to the optimization of public resources destined to education through the generation of shared projects in an inter-institutional manner.
The constitution of a market in which knowledge acquires value, according to the breadth of its contexts of use.
The notion of learning object
Any digital resource that can be reused as a support for learning
It is a concept used with different meanings in philosophy
In this way the problematic unit is named like this:
Operations with real numbers. The subject is employed by its action on the thematic content and the unit is developed based on the exercises that allow domain over that content
To move to a curricular innovation that favor training closer to the situations that students will face as subjects oriented to learning objects.
The challenge is to achieve
Objects constructed around significant problems according to the orientations of the academic bodies that investigate in the different fields of human knowledge. Among the functions a strong link between the functions of research and teaching.
The generation of objects oriented to the promotion of competences that have a sufficiently open approach to be contextualized by the subjects that learn in a diversity of areas.
Generate modes of tutoring and teaching focused on the management of learning environments in which the use of objects promotes the development of the mind.
