Henry's tactical ability
He systematically removed all of the Yorkist claiments. He married Elizabeth of York, inprisoned the Earl of Warwick and had Richard de la Pole executed after he feld England after being accused of treason.
Henry used marriage to make peace too. He married Elizabeth of York to end the war of the roses. he married off his daughter to James IV and his son to the Spanish Queen Catherine of Aragon to secure peace.
Henry also used political intrigue to make deals with foreign supporters of rebellions like Perkin Warbeck for example the traty of Windsor and the Treaty of Etaples
He also showed mercy to a number a noble families who proved themselves loyal like the Earl of Northumberland in the Battle of Stoke
Henry consistantly pardoned people invovled in rebellions. This prevented disgruntled rebel families joining forces against Henry.
