A Civil Action
Questions:
When Jerry met with the parents of the victims, he said they would not be allowed to testify because they had no direct proof nor did they have enough money to actually testify against them.
The whistle blowers were the employees of the companies that came forward about what really happen and told the truth so the families could get justice. What lead them to telling the truth was seeing all the families in pain because they lost loved ones.
The point of using drinking water as a thematic symbol is to show how many people can consume it without knowing what the truth is. You cant hide behind the lies they will come out sooner or later. I felt really concerning when i watched the people drinking the water because it was contaminated and they didn't know it. They were taking a risk that normally no one should have to do.

The Clean Water Act is when the are regulations on what can do and cannot do with the water on land. If you are caught doing something your not supposed to do they can fine you. They do that so they can protect everyone from getting really sick and dying.
Jan reasons against taking the case was that there was really no physical proof because no one would come forward and confess anything. What changed his mind is the victims families and how hard everything was. Yes, I would've taken the case because it is important to get people the justice they deserve.
The whistle blower protection act is were they can protect someone for coming forward and telling the truth. The purpose when it was enacted was to make more people fell more comfortable about coming forward and telling the truth.
Movie Review:
The movie A Civil Action was made in 1998, it took place in Woburn, Massachusetts, in the 1980s. The main characters were hard workers and some of them wanted the best for their clients. Now the ones that were being accused weren't the nicest or smartest people. The thing that sparked my attention the most is when it was talking about how kids were getting sick and dying because of the water that was contaminated. It caught my attention because they are innocent, growing kids that have a whole life ahead of them and the fact that they were getting sick and dying was horrifying. I would recommend this movie to someone because it describes the harm that pollution can do to people.

Ethical Dilemmas:
Some ethical dilemmas in the movie was that they were losing all their money because they were so set on getting justice for the victims and their families. The ended up losing houses and electricity because of what all they did for the case (money wise).
