You have to add the numbers together then you have to divide by the amount of numbers there are in the equation,, so if we added all theses number together then the answer would be a decimal so I would round it.
You would use this when you have bigger numbers
mode
Example- 5+7+7+1+12+9+9+17+7
the most number used is 7.
So the mode 7.
M.A.D
M.A.D stands for mean absolute deviation
Example- 5+6+4+2+3+9+10=39 39/7 would be 6 6-5=1 6-6=0 6-4=2 6-2=4 6-3=3 9-6=3 10-6=4 1+0+2+4+3+3+4= 17/7 2.42857142857 rounded would be 2
To find the M.A.D you first have to find the mean. Then you have to subtract the mean from all the numbers in the original question. After you subtract the numbers add all them together then divide by the amount of numbers you have in the equation. Then you will get your answer. If you have a decimal you can round the decimal to the nearest whole number.
Histogram
To find a histogram you have to look at the numbers in your data then the then put them in groups based on there numbers. lastly make a graph with your number groups on the bottom and the amount that are in each group on the side. Then draw a bar going to the number of the amount of number in that category.
Example- 2,3,3,4,5,6,3,6.29.13.22,19,23
1-10 2,3,3,4,5,6,3,6
11-20 13,19
21-30 29,22,23
The mode is- the most common number.
when to use mode-is to find the most common number.
To find the mode you have to look at the number most commonly used. If there are more then one numbers the most commonly used then there is no mode.
Range
How to find the range: irst you have to put the numbers in least to greatest, then you have to subtract the biggest nuber to the smallest number.
1+3+4+4+5+9+10= The range would be 9
I.Q.R
The interquartile range is a measure of variability.
Order from least to greatest, find the median, calculate the median of both the lower and upper half of the data, the IQR id the difference between the upper and lower medians.
Q1 id the middle value in the first half of the data set.
median
The median is- the middle number
When to use the median best measure of central tendency.
To find find the median first you have order them from least to greatest. Then cross of the first the number then the last number. Then keep doing this until there is only one number.
If there are two numbers in the middle, then find the number
in between the both of the left over numbers.
Example- 2,3,4,4,7,5,8,2,6 -3,4,4,7,5,8,2 - 4,4,7,5,8 -4,7,5 -7 so the median is 7 or if 7 and 5 were left over you would find the number in between them so its 6.
