Mc Dougal-instincts that motivate people to behave in particular ways
- Weakness
1) There is no independent example for the instinct other than the behaviour.
2) Explained only in terms of instincts, and this fails to allow for the possibility that motivation can be learned.
- Good example is Kurt Lewin (1890 – 1947)
- This theory consist of a field of psychological forces
- This theory differ from McDougall set of instinct in that they are not necessarily innate
