From sun rise to sun set good Muslims don’t eat or drink, smoke or have sexual relationships. Exceptions are made for young children, soldiers in battle, the elderly, pregnant women and the sick.
They are also expected to make an extra effort to be good, respectful and friendly.

During the first 3 days of the month families spend time visiting each other, they give and receive presents.
Prayers are said in the morning in the mosque and people gather for a communal meal.
