Ethan is a two-year-old boy in a K0 class (the first level of kindergarten in Taiwan, or preschool). Ethan is very smart and well-spoken. He is very well behaved and does thorough work in class. Ethan, however, is an incredibly anxious boy. He is constantly asking questions and seeking affirmation that he is doing things correctly. The slightest change in routine can send him into an emotional meltdown. Anything out of the ordinary can be debilitating for him. As an example, a bee flew past him on the playground last week; he screamed, cried, shook, and didn't recover for the rest of the day. Along with his inability to cope, Ethan also struggles with social interaction. Ethan does not know how to play with others, and he much prefers sitting quietly by himself.
