How PRIMO ceramic grills is made
1) From mixture call slurry
Contains water, clay and feldspar
it will harden to become ceramic materials when fired at high temperature
2) assembly of two parts of plaster mold
They will cast at the base of the grill
After clearing the residue from previous molding
they will clamp the two parts of plaster mold
3)The slurry will be put at the gap between two parts of the mold will be set for several hours.
For plaster mold absorb 80% of the water leaving a firm but still moist casting
4) Slice the accumulation at the base of both funnel after removing top part of mold
A rectangular holes will be cut at the bottom
Remove heavy grill base from the mold
The process will be repeated for the dome and fine box
Then, the excess oozed will be scraped out
5) Remove the maintaining moisture
the will be roll the cast into a dryer for 30 hours.
Blower will circulated the air gradually for 82°C
6) Undergoes final touch up
Will go through automated glazing station
The conveyor will spin the parts under a shower of ceramic glaze
7) Assembly parts for firing
Fire in a huge kill over 24 hours and they gradually increase the temperature to more than 1300°C
It will trigger the chain reaction to transform the slurry the become a hard ceramic and turn the glaze to black
8) Assembly starts with
stainless steel draft door on the base
spread adhesive on the top edge base and apply gasket made of heat resistant materials
The hinge will be attach and the fire box will be inserted
Glue a gasket around neck of the dome
last few components will be inserted
