Your responsibilities on the Job

Types of Hazards

Chemical Hazards- Gases,vapors,liquids, or dusts that can harm your body

Biological Hazards- Living things that can cause disease such as flu,AIDS, Hepatitis, Lyme Disease, and TB

Safety Hazards- Can cause immediate accidents and injuries

Other Health Hazards- Harmful things not in the other categories that can injure you or make you sick

Improve work policies and procedures

Remove the Hazard

Use protective clothing and equipment

Use safety equipment and protective clothing when needed

Look out for co-workers

Follow all safety rules and instructions

Keep work areas clean and neat

Know what to do in an emergency

Report any health and safety hazard to your supervisor

Ask questions you don't understand. YOU are most responsible for your one safety
