summary
the poem talks about the authors perspective walking down the streets of London . Of miseries and misfortunes of its inhabitants and meditating on them. The poem is carried out through a first person narration whose observations are limited to what a person might actually hear and see on such a walk, sharing his inner thoughts with the reader.

The poem discloses how people of nature can be surprised when faced with the lifelessness of the city which is can be targeted to the people of today.
A lot of people who live in cities are unaware of the raw nature in the outside world. In the poem, Blake criticizes the life led by those in the city.
