small round groups, or clusters that bring lymph to the node.

Right thoracic ducts

short tube that receives all of the purified lymph from the right side of the neck, chest, and right arm

it will empty into the right subclavian vein, returning the clean lymph to the blood

Thoracic duct

Larger

drains into the rest of the body

empties to left subclavian vein

At the start of the ducts there is a sac like structure called, Cisterna chyli

Tonsils

masses of lymphatic tissue that filter interstitial fluid

located on each side of the soft plate

Adenoids- located in the nasopharynx

Spleen

organ located beneath left side of diaphram and in the back of the upper part of the stomach

gets taken over by the lymphnodes

inflammation/ infection of lymphnodes

occurs in large quantities of harmful substances

Hodkins disease

Chronic malignant disease of the lymphnodes

most common form of lymphoma

Lymphangitis

Inflammation of lymphatic vessels

from infection of extremity

splenomegaly

enlargment of the spleen

from abnormal accumulation of RBC mono, and cirrhosis of liver

Tonsilitis

inflammation/ infection of the tonsils
