[Character Name: Saiph]
Crossing the Threshold:
Saiph refuses to believe that there’s something wrong with him. Hurt that Meissa did not understand him, he decides to leave.
Arth is a post apocalyptic planet with vast open fields and minimal villages. (Breath of the Wild - like)
Ordinary World:
He works at a cosmic cafe called Orion’s Bow together with his 7 brothers: Rigel, Betelgeuse, Bellatrix, Meissa, Alnitak, Mintaka, and Alnilam
The cafe is located on a rogue planet in the Orion Nebula, which also hosts a multitude of different stores and markets. This rogue planet is called Orion Town Centre

Saiph lives on a star but often feels lonely. His siblings are not the emotionally available type so his only way of forgetting his loneliness is by drowning himself in work.
Call to Adventure:
Saiph is tasked to get groceries from the planet Pollux, but ends up taking a detour to Arth, which is the only nearby planet that holds mortal life. He wishes he lived there so he wouldn’t feel so lonely
He goes down to Arth and sees how people interact with each other. He spots a village where he can reside in. He realises that his craving for affection will be sated if he runs away.
Refusal of Call:
Saiph has responsibilities. He has no time. His brothers are waiting for him. He’s never been apart from his brothers for too long. He decides to go back home instead.
Meeting the Mentor:
He opens up to Meissa, the brother he trusts the most, about his findings on Arth and how he wants to feel happy and connected with other people. Meissa tries to understand but eventually tells Saiph to stop involving himself with useless things. None of the siblings crave that kind of affection so that must mean that there’s something wrong with Saiph.
Tests, Allies, and Enemies:
Saiph easily befriends a young child named Arien, who has an older brother named Greggary. Greggary initially does not like Saiph for not seeming untrustworthy.
In order to gain Greggory’s approval, Saiph hunts and cooks meals for the whole village (which has a population of 23)
Saiph lives among the villagers and is in charge of cooking duty, though he helps Greggory hunt when he has time.
Despite being in a community, Saiph still feels lonely without a close relationship. He thought that by moving to Arth, he would have instant gratification, but his assumption is proved to be false.
Saiph decides to spend more time with Greggory by hunting together with him more often. One day, Saiph injures himself and sprains his ankle. Greggory thinks it’ll be too risky to head back when its getting dark so it’s best to camp for the night. The two of them are able to bond.
Saiph opens up to Greggory about his true origins, about how lonely he feels most of the time, and about how invalid his brothers make him feel. Greggory listens and responds saying that having a good relationship with others isn’t all about what you take, but also what you give. Saiph has to be someone worth being around before he can expect good company.

Ordeal, Death, and Rebirth:
Saiph tells the village that he is the source of the sickness and he will leave by morning. Some villagers are angered by him while others are grateful for the good he brought them before then.
Greggory tearfully tells Saiph not to leave and that they’ll figure things out together. He seems to be swayed by Greggory and tells him that he’ll stay for him, though the both of them will have to move away such that the village doesn’t get swept up in the sickness.
When the morning comes, Saiph is already gone. He decided that he loves Greggory too much and he isn’t willing to keep Greggory sick for the possibility that maybe it’ll get better eventually.
Return with Elixer:
Saiph comes back home with his new experiences in his mind. He learned a lot. His brothers learned a lot too while he was gone for six Arth months. His brothers are at first very angry at him for leaving but they felt lonely and guilty when he left. Meissa realised he shouldn’t have dismissed Saiph’s feelings. The siblings decide to be vulnerable with each other for the first time and open up about how they feel instead of drowning themselves with work as a distraction.
Saiph works on his issues, keeping Greggory in his heart and mind always. He hopes to one day reunite with him when Saiph is in a better place mentally and emotionally.
Saiph is a personified star. He is not human, but because the constellation he is part of is Orion, and Orion has a human body in mythology, Saiph and the rest of the stars in Orion have the appearance of a human.
Approach of Inmost Change:
Saiph meets Greggory’s other friends who frequently leave the village to go on prolonged hunting trips. Saiph becomes jealous, possessive, and controlling toward Greggory.
Greggory calls Saiph out on being selfish and invites Saiph to befriend his friends as well, but Saiph refuses.
Because of his swell of negative emotions, he starts to emit UV radiation (as stars do) as it becomes harder for him to repress it. This makes the villagers, specifically Greggory, ill.
