Christianity Human Condition
GOD - always about the trinity in Christianity: Father, Son, Holy Spirit
"being" itself
The Creater and law giver, has authority
is that judge of us
God is the savior and rescuer
humans created in GODS OWN IMAGE
Humans are sentient beings that can think and are given FREE WILL
God created the free will to give to use, free will is a good thing, but can be used for bad
means of attaining spiritual perfection, we are supposed to use our free will
most people have reason and should be able to use it
God is not responsible for the evil, He is responsible for the punishment of evil, if we do something wrong there are consequences so we as humans can learn
Sin can be overcome by GRACE (loving presence of God)
JESUS was sent by God to save humans
we separate ourselves form god because of sin
Jesus was the MESSIAH and the SAVIOR, and God loved us so much he gave us his only Son
Jesus was RESURRECTED which is how he saved us
Adam and Eve committed a sin of pride
referred to as THE FALL, the fall from a perfect relationship from God and Jesus is needed in SALVATION
THE FALL is man's sinning capacity, if it is not overcome we will always be separated form God
Catholicism says ancestral sin is inherited which is why baptism is necessary to wipe out original sin
The Fall is about the sin of disobedience and is found in Genesis 3
theres mortal sin (cant be forgiven), venial sin, social sin, sins of omission
being in complete union with God meant being immortal and having like qualities with God, their punishment was mortality (death and vulnerability)
