5 Religions of SE Asia
Islam
The Qur’an was not authored by Muhammad. It was authored by God, revealed to Muhammad (through angel Gabriel) and written into physical form by his companions.
The original Arabic text of the Qur’an contains no flaws or contradictions and has not been altered since its revelation
Actual 7th century Qur’ans, complete and intact, are on display in museums in Turkey and other places around the world.
Shintoism
Shinto is derived from the Chinese words 'shin tao', which mean 'the way of kami'.
Shintoism's model texts are called Shinten and include Senmyou, Kogo Shuui, Nihon Shoki, and Kojiki.
Shinto followers believe that gods or spirits, referred to as kami, can manifest in anything in nature. This makes worshipping things like mountains and stones, and even people possible.
Hinduism
Hinduism actually believes in only one god, but in many forms
The goal of life in Hinduism is to attain salvation, or moksha
Hinduism is the 3rd largest religion in the world, after Christianity and Islam
Buddhism
According to legend, Buddha sat under the Bo tree for 49 days and was tempted by demons. He discovered four noble truths and the Eightfold Path to Nirvana, or ultimate bliss.
There are two major schools of Buddhism: Mahayana and Theravada or Hinayana. There is a third school, the Vajrayana, but it only has a small following.
The Eightfold Path to Nirvana is to be "right" in all these areas: concentration, views, speech, resolve, action, livelihood, effort, and mindfulness.

The six arts that Confucius was schooled in were archery, music, arithmetic, calligraphy, charioteering and ritual. He also studied history and poetry.
