the theme of the poem''caged bird''is that you should be thankful for god and you shouldn't give up because the free bird had freedom and he liked his life but on the other hand the caged bird didn't have any place to go and he couldn't even move his wings but he didn't give up ,so he sang with freedom and felt happy

The overall tone of the poem is sorrowful, but persevering. because the bird's spirit is resilient and the imprisoned bird expresses his desire to soar despite his bindings

i was happy because i really liked how she compared between the free bird and the caged bird and how is it like to live like birds

yes, at first i thought the poem was talking about birds and it was boring but then i knew message behind the poem which was really heart melting and i felt happy

no ,she talked about an animal called a bird

yes because in the past maya had difficulties in her life because of her family divorce and it was like she was caged and lonely and that was similar to the bird story who was depressed and didn't have freedom

For example, “the caged bird sings with a fearful trill” helps us almost hear the unpleasant sound of the bird's cry.
