Known as "1999 Seattle WTO protests" or Battle of Seattle" a protest with 40,000 people taking on the street outside of Washington State Conevntion and Trade Center, where WTO and IMF were to discuss a new policies for the future generation. Protestors especially anti-capitalist, NGOs, Labor Unions, and such were against the concept of the new policies, therefore, there were peaceful protest planned but other protestors had much more violent ideas planned which led to public property destruction and such which caused a riot and police to take action. Many saw the protest as a sucess as the awareness of the WTO were spread and also the arrested were released and judged that they were exercising theit 4th amendment
