2.3-Jesus, the Word of God
Jesus as the Word of God-The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:14)-This verse confirms that Jesus is the Word of God. The Word has always existed but took on human nature to live life on earth as Jesus. The Word came to earth to guide people closer to God, and to teach them how to share his love.
The Relationship Between the Word and God-The Catholic Church teaches that God is three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Together these three persons are refereed to as the Trinity. The Word of God is eternal, like God the Father the Word of God has always existed.
