glory: he was famous because he was the first man that explored that many places in the world. he changed the map of the world upon the evidences from his expeditions more than any other single man in the world.

james stopped school when he was 12 years old, his early teens were spent by the shores, which created his love towards boats

James' third journey a few years later was to find the passage which was linked to the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, but he failed, so took his ships to Hawaii.but the relationships between him and the islanders were bad
James was stabbed and killed on February 14th 1779
cook was promoted in 1752, that offered many more opportunities and the ranking was high enough to satisfy many people. But cook wanted to join the royal navy instead because he knew that it would give him better opportunities.
During the Seven Years’ War between Great Britain and France in 1756–63, cook took part in helping Maj. Gen. James Wolfe’s landing, he was also in command of a captured ship
he was in charge of the fordst expedition to the pacific held by the royal sociey in 1768 when he was 40 years old. they were going to observe the planet venus and it's transit across the sun
it took 6 months for cook to discover the whole of new zeland, then he crossed the Tasman sea and came upon the south-east coast of australia. he found the great barrier reef, coral sea and the torres strait. after all the discoveries, he went home, but on the stop, 30 of his crew passed away upon the cause of fever
after the expedition, King george the third saw him and he was promoted to commander. then he was told to go to the Antarctic. he charted Tonga and Easter Island during the winters, and discovered New Caledonia in the Pacific and the South Sandwich Islands and South Georgia island in the Atlantic. he proved using his evidence that Terra Australis only existed in the landmasses of Australia
he was awarded the gold Copley Medal for the things he prepared for against scurvey that will cause deaths of people

started her journey in 1966 in karaba, africa. she lived in a 7x10 foot tent, only ate bad quality fruit and vegetable
once she came back to camp and found armed soldiers waiting for her. the soldiers said they had to come "escort" her down the mountain to safety. She spent two weeks in Rumangabo under military guard. she bribed the guards to bring her to register "lily" as her fake name, then she ran away to the Travellers Rest Hotel and didn't get arrested.

she changed the point of view of people towards the gorillas, at first thinking that they were beasts, to thinking that they were just like any other normal animal
she was murdered and her body was found on her cabin early morning on december 27, 1985. she was stabbed on the face and head a couple of times. though the mystery of her death has never been resolved to this day.
she came up with a book called "gorillas in the mist" about all her findings of gorillas
