skeletal system
The skeletal system function is support, movement, protection, blood cell production, calcium storage and endocrine regulation. Its purpose is to enable s to survive
5 major structures are cartilage, ligaments, tendons, bone, endosteum
Function of each structure: Cartilage- connect bones together. Ligaments- Connect bone to bone. Tendons- Connects muscle to bone. Bone- Support the body. Endosteum- Growth of bone in diameter.
Osteoporosis is a disease where your bones are very fragile. Leukemia is cancer of white blood cells. Osteomalacia is bone loss.
Osteoporsis can be cared by doing weight bound exercises. Leukemia you can be treated by radiation therapy. Also Osteomalacia can be treated by easing bone pain slowly it may take a couple of months
Muscular System
-
5 major structures are Masseter, Temporalis, Deltoid, Pectoralis major, soleus
Function of each structure: Masseter- Lifts the lower jaw. Temporalis- Helps close the mouth. Deltoid- raises the arm sideways. Pectoralis major- Moves the arms across the body. Soleus- Moves the foot at the ankle
There are sprains, cramps and tendinitis and they all have to do with you pulling or straining a muscle.
To care for all of these you can ice to decrease swelling, you can wrap the wound so it doesn't get worse and it can have compression on it.
Nervous system
-
5 major structures are Glail cell, neuron, Stimulus, ENS, ANS.
Function of each structure: Glail cell- is a framework of tissues that support the neurons and their activity. Neuron- communicative function. Stimulus- Sensory function. ENS- controls the smooth muscle and gladular function. ANS- Involantary control of the body
A stroke can also be caused because your nerves are not communicating to function. You can also have structural disorders. and they function of your body can stop
To try and cure any of these you can try neurology which is taking different kinds of medication to try and get your nerves to respond. If that doesn't work then you can do neurological surgery is where they use endiovascular techniques.
Cardiovascular system
The main function is to transport of nutrients, oxygen and hormones to cells throughout the body.
5 major structures are Arteries, Veins, Capillaries, Systemic Circulation, pulmonary circulation
Function of each structure: Arteries- Take blood away from the heart. Veins- Return blood to the heart. Capillaries- Lie between arteries and veins. Systemic- Takes oxygen reach blood to tissues and organs. Pulmonary- Takes oxygen depleted blood to the lungs.
Heart attack is when there is a blocked artery. A stroke is when arteries in the brain turn off. Coronary artery disease is when there is a blockage from blood pumping.
Aspirin will reduce blood clotting the emergency room will give you aspirin right away. For a stroke you need to get blood flow to your brain. Coronary artery disease you have to reduce blood clots.
respiratory system
-
5 major structures are Diaphragm, navel cavity, lungs, Trachea, Larynx
Function of each structure: Diaphragm- Seperates the chest and abdomen. navel Cavity- Air way through the nose. Lungs- brings in oxygen and releases carbon dioxide. Trachea- Lower airway system. Laynx- provides vocal sounds.
Asthma is difficulty breathing because of swelling in the airways. Emphysema is a disease formed from smoking. Lung cancer can be found in any part of the lungs.
Most people deal with Asthma by having an inhaler to decrease the swelling in the airway. You can take Kimo therapy to try to get rid of the cancer in your lungs. If you dont want Emphysema boom line dont smoke
Digestive system
-
5 major functions are mouth, Saliva, Tounge, Stomach, Anus
Function of each structure: Mouth- where the digestive system begins. Saliva- Absorbs the food. tounge- helps break down the food. Stomach- digests and breaks down the food. Anus- where the digestive system ends.
Gallstones are where the estrogen build up and it can not releas the fat. Hypothesis B is the swelling of liver, Hypothesis C viral deseas of liver.
You can get gallstone surgery where the remove you gall bladder. You can also get hypothesis B and C shots every couple months.
Endocrine system
-
5 Major functions are: hypothalamus, pituitary gland, thyroid gland, parathyroid gland, adrenal gland
Function of each structure: hypothalamus- Regulate satiety, metabolism, and body temperature. Pituitary gland- produces important hormones. Thyroid gland- Regulates metabolism. Parathyroid gland- regulate calcium. Adrenal gland- balance salt and water.
Adrenal insufficiency is when the glans release to little hormones. Type one diabetes is when you have too low blood sugar and thyroid cancer cancer that creates abnormal thyroid pain.
Cure diabetes with more insoline shots, remove the thyroid or have kimo therapy. take medicines to increase the hormones.
