Often an unbalanced diet is too much sugar and saturated fat and not enough fruit and vegetables

Plenty of fibre and 5-a-day

Plenty of protein

Good fats - avocado

Carbohydrates but not over consumption

A controlled low calorie diet

Low calorie diet needs to be v. Controlled if 16

Possibly a bit boring??

No breakfast = no boost

Lots of sugar and saturated fat in snack

Could exchange snacks for fruit ect.

Take out sugar in tea/ use artificial sweetners

Don't need sugar in lucozade

Cornish pasty is high in fat and salt

Unhealthy snack with kit kat

Take away is full of saturated fat, salt sugar

Alcohol = 7kals

Higher risk of CHD & other related diseases

Extremely low calorie diet - is she anorexic??

Needs more energy if she is more active

Has her 5-a day

Vegetables are low in calories

Has some carbohydrate

Not enough protein

Not enough iron - needed more by woman

A lot of sugar

Pester power

Needs full fat milk for under 5 years old

Not enough fruit and vegetables

Could substitute jam sandwiches for ham

Convenience food - often full of additives, salt and sugar

Orange juice is also sugar - ok in moderation

Wayne has too much of a taste for sugar

Kelly - diet 5

Liver damages the baby - too high in vitamin A

Soft eggs should be avoided - salmonella

Soft ripened cheeses (brie) can cause listeria

Alcohol only in moderation

Soup may be high in salt

Pregnant woman need to avoid heavy meals which can lead to indigestion

She also needs to drink more water

Unbalanced - not much variety

Not very much protein and minerals such as iron

Need 5-a-day (there is no fruit and veg)

Too much sugar

Could substitute for wholemeal
